Apple looks like it's going to go big for the new iPhone; with strong rumours that 2017's model will undergo big changes.
The next sensation in the market is said to be the Apple iPhone 8, Tim Cook himself said that: Don’t expect much from the iPhone 7 because iPhone 8 will create a real revolution and they are already planning and building it to revolutionize the future of smartphones.
2017 will mark the 10th anniversary of the iPhone and Apple has something major planned to celebrate the occasion.
We've got several months to go until the launch of the iPhone 8, but because of the major expected upgrades Apple planned for the device, there are already an abundance of rumours hinting at the impressive features coming in the 2017 iPhone.
We've got several months to go until the launch of the iPhone 8, but because of the major expected upgrades Apple planned for the device, there are already an abundance of rumours hinting at the impressive features coming in the 2017 iPhone.
Based on early rumours it seems the design, specs and features are all set to receive a major overhaul, and we've sifted through all the whispers on the internet to bring you the definitive guide to what's coming on the new iPhone 8.
So, our expectations of iPhone 8 are really high. Below we are going to talk about the rumours relating to the Release Date, Price, Features, Specs and Design of this Apple iPhone 8.
Apple is rumoured to be testing more than 10 prototype iPhone models, so it's not entirely clear what we're going to see, and because there are so many test devices in play, rumours are unclear at this point
Rumours suggest it's going to be a radical redesign, with an edge-to-edge display that does away with the top and bottom bezels where features like the Touch ID fingerprint sensor and the front-facing cameras are housed.
Instead, Touch ID and the camera may be built directly into the display, meaning there will be no Home button. Jony Ive has wanted to introduce an iPhone that looks like a single sheet of glass for several years, and glass is also necessary if Apple wants to introduce wireless charging.

With an edge-to-edge design, the iPhone 8 may be similar in size to the 4.7-inch iPhone, but with a display the size of the 5.5-inch iPhone.
Rumours suggest it will feature a 5.8-inch display with 5.15 inches of usable area, with the rest dedicated to virtual buttons that will replace the existing Home button.
The display itself is said to be flexible plastic OLED rather than an LCD, allowing Apple to introduce a thinner device that consumes less power and offers a better display with higher contrast ratio and more true to life colours.
It may also feature edges that are curved on both sides like the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, but rumours are unclear on this point. Should the display have curved edges, the edges could respond to touch gestures?

As for the body, rumours suggest Apple is finally going to move away from the aluminium used in the iPhone 5, 5s, 6, 6s, 7, and SE, instead re-adopting a glass body that's similar to the body that was used in the iPhone 4.
At least one iPhone model coming in 2017 will use a glass body, according to Apple supplier Catcher Technology, and according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, the glass will be built around an aluminium or stainless steel frame.

Wireless charging?
It was reported that there are multiple groups at Apple working on technology for an iPhone that supports wireless charging.
Earlier in February, Apple joined the Wireless Power Consortium -- a potential harbinger. Last year, The Verge reported that Apple has been staffing up on wireless-charging experts, and the Nikkei Asian Review reported that Foxconn, one of Apple's main manufacturing partners, was making wireless charging modules for the 2017 iPhone.

Veteran Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has suggested that all new iPhone models will feature wireless charging, according to Macrumors.
But other reports have predicted that that wireless charging will not be an integrated capability, but instead available through a separate accessory.
It's worth mentioning that Samsung's top-tier phones have supported wireless charging since 2015's Galaxy S6, and some Lumia phones (both under Nokia and Microsoft) had it back in the day, too.
Water resistant?
Like the iPhone 7, the iPhone 8 is expected to be water resistant, but it may have an improved IP68 water resistance rating.
It will continue to be able to hold up to rain, splashes, and brief submersion in water. Instead of a Lightning port, the iPhone 8 could adopt a USB-C port instead of a Lightning connector.
Of course, if Apple ditches the Lightning port, it would ostensibly make the phone that much more resistant to water and other intrusive substances.
In fact, The Korea Herald reports that the next iPhone will have a higher water resistance rating -- IP68 compared with the current generation's IP67, for those keeping score. Again, in this category, Apple would be playing catch up: Samsung's Galaxy S7, from 2016, is IP68 certified
Will there be a Red colour iPhone?
New colours would be an easy way for Apple to mark the significance of the 10th anniversary iPhone.
In December 2016, a video surfaced purporting to show a "Jet White" iPhone 7. Mac Otakara reports that Apple may add to its recent palette of white, black, and mellow metallics and introduce red to the lineup, a callback of sorts to the less expensive iPhone 5C's rainbow of options.

IPhone 8 other features
Hottest leaks:
- · An iris scanner
- · A Smart Connector
- · New sensing technology
It might not just be the screen you'll be interacting with on the iPhone 8, as Apple is also rumoured to be working on a "new sensing technology", which would allow the phone to respond when you touch any side of it.
Theoretically that could be used for example to change the screen brightness by swiping along the edge, or take a picture by tapping it.

One other rumoured feature of the iPhone 8 is an iris scanner, which wouldn't be much of a surprise given that the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 has one, though Samsung's implementation is a bit slow and Apple isn't likely to include one unless it can improve the performance.
Facial recognition of some kind is looking ever more likely, as it's been rumoured again, and Apple's even acquired a company which works in that area.
We might also see a Smart Connector on the iPhone 8. This was rumoured for inclusion on the iPhone 7 Pro – a phone which never launched, but with numerous pictures of a phone sporting the Connector it seems likely that Apple really was considering it, so the feature might be ready by next year.
We've already seen a Smart Connector on the iPad Pro, where it's primarily used to attach accessories, like keyboards.
